Mrs. Deborah Lynn Rose, 72, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Debbie was a native of Grundy, Virginia but has lived in Abingdon for the past several years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Debbie was married to the love of her life, Gary for 50 years, who passed away on November 10, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents James and Melda Lockhart Allen; two sisters, Kay and Susie; two brothers, Jimmy and Kimmie.
She is survived by two sons Gary (Becky) and Richie (Kim); four grandchildren Tierney and her mother Lisa, Cody (Samantha), Nicole, and Jacob (Taylor); five great grandchildren, Kinley Grace, Zoey, Levi, Knox, and Waylon who is due in June; four sisters Carol (Pete), Mary, Lisa, and Arlene; one brother, Billy (Edna); sister-in-law’s, Wilma Bartley and Peggy Smith; best friend, Becky and nephew Ricky; special friends, Rosella Ratliff and Lynda Embry; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Farris Cremation and Funeral Center Chapel located at 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24212
The funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Farris Cremation and Funeral Center Chapel with Pastor Mike Rife officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chad Bartley, Cody Rose, Jacob Rose, Lane Bartley, Hunter Bartley, Logan Matney
Honorary Pallbearers will be, Chris Marcus, Ricky Bartley, Frank Marcus, Jerry Bartley, Joe Marcus, Billy Roberts, Pete Marcus, Nicole Benham
