Delores Jean Hensley

Delores Jean Snedegar Hensley, age 73, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023, at her home.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Rita Snedegar; two brothers, Ray Snedegar and Ricky Snedegar; two sisters, Betty Dudek and Cathie Marchello; and grandson Chad Belcher.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert Hensley, Sr.; son Robert Hensley, Jr. (Rebecca) of Quinten, Virginia and daughter Chantelle Hensley (Allen Jessee) of Abingdon, Virginia; five grandchildren, Shaun Hensley, Jacob Hicks, Cody Belcher and Karissa Hensley, Sara; three great grandchildren; brother, Roger Snedegar; sister, Darlene Williams; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1 – 2 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, at Valley View Freewill Baptist Church on Spoon Gap Road in Abingdon, Virginia.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul White and Rev. Brandon Hensley officiating.  Pallbearers will be grandsons and family and friends.
