Delores Mae Modic Rash, age 71, passed on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Graystone Healthcare in Blountville, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her first husband, Albert Toomey, and second husband, Jack Rash.
She is survived by two sons, Albert Toomey of Bland, VA and Kenneth Toomey of Meadowview, VA; two daughters, Shirley (Jimmie) Church of Abingdon and Sharon (Jose') Barrera of Mt. Airy, NC; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Josh Greenwell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Michael Church, David Church, Jeff Chaffin, Ethan Church, Aiden Church, Gary Hatfill, and Jimmie Church serving as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guest register.
