Dolores Katherine Lampson

Dolores Lampson, was born as Dolores Katherine Windrix, on July 24, 1920, to Fred and Nellie Mae (Coulter) Windrix, in Okemah, Oklahoma. She passed from this life, November 11, 2014, in Abingdon, Virginia. Dolores and her family have been chartered members of Eastwood Baptist Church for many years. They have many happy memories at Eastwood. We lost a very strong prayer warrior, and Heaven gained an angel. Dolores always talked about going back to Tulsa. Tulsa was her home, even though, she was gone from Tulsa with her daughter in Virginia for fourteen years. Dolores will be dearly missed by son, Donald J. Lampson, Jr. and his wife, Joan, daughter, Jeanette Logan and her husband Roger; grandchildren, Darin Lampson and wife, Marguerite and Sarah Katherine Logan; great grandchildren, Emily, Hudson and Hunter; sisters-in-law Mae Windrix and Thelma Windrix; and several nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald John Lampson, Sr; two brothers, Williard and J.D. Windrix; and one sister, Beatrice Windrix. Dolores's family would like to send a gratitude of appreciation to the staff, CNA's, CMA's, nurses and doctor of Commonwealth Assisted Living in Abingdon, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in Dolores' name and honor be made to The Arthritis Foundation, or to the Eastwood Baptist Children's Ministry, 949 S 91st, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74112. Visitation will be Monday, November 17, 2014, at 12:00 pm,at Floral Haven Funeral Home, Broken Arrow, OK, with a graveside service at 1:00 pm, following the viewing.
