Bristol, VA – Donald B. Davis, age 74, passed on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. Don was born in Norland, VA on June 25, 1947, to the late Willie and Dollie Louise Fleming Davis. He grew up in Clintwood, VA and was a 1966 graduate of Clintwood High School.
Don was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a retiree of General Engineering in Abingdon, VA. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church for 41 years where he was known as the “Cow Tale” man as the children regularly looked for him to present them their Cow Tales on Sunday mornings. He loved his church family dearly.
In addition to his parents Don was preceded in death by two children, Stephanie Davis and Bradley Keith Davis; brother, Billy Ray Davis; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Ella Mae Mullins.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Alliouse Mullins Davis; sister, Brenda Fleming of Clintwood, VA; several nieces and nephews; and a very special great niece, Nicole Jessee, who was like a grandchild. Don will be missed by all.
Visitation with the family will be held 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Victory Baptist Church, Island Road, Bristol, VA; Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. Austin Cook and Dr. Robert Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with military rites conducted by D.A.V. Chapter 39 and the Virginia Army National Guard. Pallbearers will be Victor White, Chuck Goff, Steve McCoy, Warren Mullins, Joe Herndon, Michael Fleming, and nephews, Robert Shannon Fleming and Christopher Lee Fleming.
