Donald Deel

Donald Deel, age 62, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 3, 2017, following a courageous battle with small cell lung cancer. He was born December 17, 1954, to the late Dewey Deel and Ida F. Thomas Deel in Dickenson County, Va. Donald was employed as a coal miner for 20 years and was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to his parents, Donald was also preceded in death by four brothers, Roger, Carl, J.C., and Wayne Deel; and a sister, Shirley Ridenhour.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Anita Diane Boyd Deel; two sons, Donald Jason Deel and fiancée, April and Adam Lee Deel and Jessie all of Abingdon, Va.; two brothers, Carlos Deel of Vansant, Va. and Larry Deel of Lebanon, Va.; sister, Cathy Deel of Clintwood, Va.; four grandchildren, Hailee, Emilee, Frankie, and Hunter and a soon-to-be granddaughter, Ava Casey Deel; and several nieces and nephews.

According to his wishes, Donald will be cremated.
