Donna Profitt Abrams

Donna Profitt Abrams, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at home on September 26, 2024, in Palmyra, Tennessee. She was born on November 12, 1959, in Welch, West Virginia to Preston Profitt and Elaine LeMay. 

Donna is survived by her children, Chad Abrams and his spouse Hanna, and LeAnne Grammo and her spouse Michael. She also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren: Shyanne and Cameron Chafin, Tyler and Preston Grammo and Annabell, and Raylan and Sonny Abrams; brother, Stephen Profitt (Reba); sister, Shawn Profitt; aunt, Jean McClure (Bill); six nieces and nephews who will miss their Aunt Don Don, and many cherished cousins. 

Donna was preceded in death by her daughter, Shauna Chafin; father, Preston Profitt; stepmom, Patricia Profitt; mother, Elaine LeMay; grandparents, Clarence and Mary Profitt; niece, Ashley White; aunt, Patricia Murphy; and uncle, Donald LeMay. 

Donna had a passion for spending time with her grandchildren and was rarely seen without at least one grandchild in tow. She loved collecting sea shells during her visits to the beach and spending time in her garden. She often enjoyed telling stories of what she did in her careers in accounting and nursing. Donna will be remembered for her strength, strong will, kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service for Donna will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service and Crematory with Pastor Tim Stevens officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her son, Chad Abrams; grandsons, Raylan Abrams, Sonny Abrams, Cameron Chafin, Bryce Chapman, Tyler Grammo, and Preston Grammo; nephews, Dalton Chapman, Aiden Chapman, and Steven White; brother, Stephen Profitt; and son-in-law, Michael Grammo.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Donna's name to the Pinson Hospital Hospitality House, 214 Reidhurst Ave, Nashville, TN 37203 https://hhh.kindful.com/?campaign=1101866  to help support other families of patients that are going through long time hospital stays, as they supported our family during very difficult times.
