Meadowview, VA- Donnie Mack Counts, age 77, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Marion Rural Outreach Clinic. Donnie was born on November 27, 1937, in Clinchco, VA to Clyde and Lillie Hill Counts. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joletta Counts and his mother, Lillie Hill Counts. Donnie is also survived by eight children, Dennis and wife Sandy Counts, Cynthia and husband Claude Chasse’, Tina and husband Michael Bellanca, Karen Zona and friend Mike, Samuel Counts and girlfriend Dana, Mathew and wife Melvena Counts, Adam and wife Lyndsey Counts, and Stephen Counts and girlfriend Stephanie; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; his sister, Betty Counts; brother, Connie W. Counts; two sisters, Cathrine Clay and Susan Farmer; also many loyal and caring family and friends. Donnie retired from Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY where he worked as a welder for 35 years. Amongst raising a large and loving family, he was a very talented sculptor/artist/woodcarver. Donnie’s biggest passions were his dogs, Puddles, Nuppie, Buddy, YoYo, Bruiser, and Gingin. Visitation with the family will be held, Sunday night, 6-8p.m. at Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon, on Monday, June 15, 2015, at the Funeral home with Bill Edmonds officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Christopher Chasse’, Adam Counts, Stephen Counts, Edward Bellanca, Damien Counts, Alex Bellanca, and Michael Bellanca serving as pallbearers.
