Donnie Ray Rosenbaum

Abingdon, VA – Donnie Ray Rosenbaum, age 60, passed on Friday, September 19, 2014, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Donnie served in the U.S. Army and loved to play the guitar and sing gospel music. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. and Susie K. Rosenbaum; four brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by three brothers, Pete Rosenbaum, Johnny Rosenbaum, and Jerry Rosenbaum, All of Abingdon, VA; three sisters, Betty King of Bristol, VA, Mary Sullins and Janie Bowman, both of Abingdon, VA; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Mike McCoy officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by Highlands Veterans Honor Guard and the Virginia National Guard. There will be no visitation prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain States Hospice in Mr. Rosenbaum’s name.
