Dora Mae Price, 77, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 23, 2009.
She resided at Serenity Adult Care in Meadowview, VA and was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church in Abingdon, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Gracie Baumgardner Price, her brother Clayton Price and her sister Uclea Simmers.
She is survived by her brothers, Shirley Price of Boothwyn PA and Eugene Price of Toughkenamon PA, her sisters Margaret Clappse of Abingdon VA, Nancy Stark of Bristol VA, Christine Garrett of Bristol TN, Cecialea Abel of Baltimore MD and Ethel Gebhart of Hockessin DE, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving caregivers and friends at Serenity Adult Care.
Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 2009 at 10 am and the funeral service will begin at 11 am at Farris Funeral Service-Main Street Chapel in Abingdon, VA with the Pastor John Price officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be members of Temple Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Moore, Ryan Moore, Harold Stanley and Dr. Bruce Higinbothom.
