Dorothy Christine Brewer Duncan

Abingdon, VA- Dorothy Alice “Christine Brewer” Duncan, age 72, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born to the late William Duncan and Fannie Stella Wise on July 24, 1943. Christine was a faithful member of the Falls Hill Apostolic Church of Jesus. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four siblings, Beulah Bishop, Golda Gilley, Cletus Helton, and Dixie Reynolds. Christine is survived by her former spouse, Thomas Brewer; three children: Teresa (Johnny) Farmer of Broken Arrow, OK; Donna (Scotty) Rowe of Abingdon, VA; and Tony (Penny) Brewer of Abingdon, VA; four siblings: Clifton (Lora) Duncan of Abingdon, VA; Herbert (Lucille) Duncan of Bristol, VA; Ernest Duncan of Bristol, TN; and Marie Reynolds of Abingdon, VA; brother-in-law, James Reynolds of Abingdon, VA; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210, with Bro. Paul White officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens where pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 4th at the Forest Hills Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideon’s International, P.O.
