Dorothy Grace Cole

Meadowview, Va. – Dorothy Helton Grace Cole, age 90,died in Abingdon, Va. Thursday, April 23, 2015. A lifelong resident of Washington County, she was a member of the Yellow Springs Demonstration Club and the Abingdon Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, V.L. Helton and Eula Music Helton; first husband, Kenneth L. Grace; and second husband, William Cole. She is survived by two sons, Raymon L. Grace and wife Nancy Grace of Saltville and David Grace and wife Leslie Grace of Bristol, Va.; one granddaughter, April Grace and Patrick Roberts of Bristol, Va.; and one great-granddaughter, Isla Grace Roberts of Bristol, Va. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, April 25th at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Services are held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday at the Abingdon Church of Christ with Minister Bill Haywood officiating. Interment follows at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where David Anderson, Gary Call, Jeff Hockett, Jay Johnson, Simon Pennings, and Kevin Sigmon will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Abingdon Church of Christ, P.O. Box 604, Abingdon, VA 24212.
