Dorothy Lee Bryan Addair

August 14, 1943 — February 22, 2011

Dorothy Lee Bryan Addair, 67, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center after a brief period with cancer.

She was born August 14, 1943 in Meadowview and was the daughter of the late Newton Warren "Bud" Bryan and Myrtle Frances Minnick Bryan. She attended M.V. School and was in the first graduating class from Patrick Henry High School. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, James Roger Addair. After her marriage to Roger, whom was serving in the U.S. Air Force at the time, they moved to North Dakota and then Anchorage, Alaska before returning to Meadowview. She enjoyed visiting on the phone with her friends, watching the Price is Right and the Atlanta Braves. She loved her cat, Jenny. She was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church.

Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, Catherine Broyles of Abingdon, John R. "Bob" Bryan of Broadway, VA, Helen and Jane Bryan of Abingdon and Sue and husband, Vernie Williams of Meadowview; nieces and nephews, Karen (Preston) Swiney, Suzette Bryan, Bryan (Evelyn) Williams, Tim (Debbie) Bryan, and Darrell Williams; great nieces and nephews, Mandy McCarthy, Kelsey Swiney, Rachel, Allison and Landon Bryan, Savannah Williams and Sarah Johnson; sister-in-law, Dorothy K. Druke; brothers-in-law, Jack S. Addair, Danny D. Addair and Billy Dean Addair; many cousins including one with a special bond, Clyde "Zeke" Warren. She is also survived by special friends, Frank and Betty Walker.

The family would also like to thank Patsy Addair and Marsha Sutherland for their care.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Friday, February 25, 2011 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. William Graybeal, Rev. Paul Griffith and Rev. Sherrell Dunn officiating. The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. Friday. Honorary Pallbearers are Bryan and Darrell Williams, Preston Swiney, Tim Bryan, Jack Addair, Tom Glover and Gary Rouse.
