Bristol, VA. Dwayne Austin "Tater" Tate, age 54 passed away suddenly on June 12, 2018 at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, Tennessee. Dwayne was quick witted with a good sense of humor, he never met a stranger, and always looked on the bright side of things, he loved to cook and watch football.
He was born July 31, 1963 in Washington D.C., a son of the late Claude and Patricia Tate.
He is survived by his best friend and soul mate, Teresa Dotson Quinn, and her daughter, Allie Quinn, sons, Wesley Tate and Koby Tate of Smyrna Tennessee, step-daughter Terabeth Calef, Tucson, Arizona, step-son John Calef, Tucsonz Arizona, sisters Debbie Tate Brookins, West Chester, Ohio, and Donna Tate Cosby, Hendersonville, Tennessee, several nieces and nephews, and very special pets, Gypsy and Diesel.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
