Elizabeth M. Price

Elizabeth M. Price "Lib", born May 26, 1919, passed away peacefully Friday, January 11, 2013 at Grace Health Care. Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Henry Aston Price, her parents, Horace B. Maiden, Sr. and Lelia Branch Davis Maiden, her siblings, Sue Maiden Callihan, Jack L. Maiden, Horace B. Maiden, Jr., and John P. Maiden, Sr. Survivors include many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly and numerous special friends in the Meadowview and Abingdon communities. Lib touched everyone with her sense of humor, wonderful stories, and genuine love for those who were a part of her life. She enjoyed crocheting and showered many lucky friends and loved ones with beautiful blankets and afghans. Lib was a lifelong member of the Meadowview United Methodist Church where she was a faithful secretary of the Sunday School and proudly sang in the choir for many years.

At her request there will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to convene at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery, 26697 Old Saltworks Road, Meadowview, VA 24361, for a graveside service where Reverend Barbara Farmer will officiate. Pallbearers will be the following nephews, Milton Maiden, Cal Maiden, Tim Maiden, Randy Smith, Jimmy Wallace, and Steve Wilkinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Barker, Benji Barker, Cullen Barker, and Sean Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Lib's memory may make bequests in her name to the Washington County Public Library, 205 Oak Hill Street, Abingdon, VA 24210, or the charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Healthcare for their loving care during her stay there.
