Ella V. McVey Campbell went to her Heavenly home Thursday night, January 25, 2024. She was born October 30, 1938, the daughter of the late Bradley and Nancy McVey. She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, growing up a farm girl and later becoming a gospel singer, pastor’s wife and a cherished mother and grandmother. Her Christian life was a living testimony to many and her love and faith in Jesus never wavered.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Jim Campbell and her son, Tim Campbell. She is also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Campbell Asher and son-in-law Brent Asher; granddaughter Charity Asher and grandson Seth Asher; sister Helen Casey; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, with Pastor Rex Carter of Woodland Baptist Church officiating.
A private visitation for the family, pallbearers, and minister will be held 10:00-10:45 a.m.Tuesday at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service just prior to traveling in procession to the cemetery.
