Bluff City, Tn. - Ella Mae Jenkins, age 79, born Nov 5, 1941 in Coalwood, West Virginia, gained her wings with her family by her side on March 3, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William Jenkins; her sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Frank Vannoy; and brother, Kenny Goodman.
Ella is survived by daughter and loving caregiver, Kimberly Martin of Bristol, Tennessee, with whom she resided; daughter Ruby Butler of Bristol, Virginia.; sons, Anthony Lockhart of Front Royal, Virginia, and Jimmy Goodman of Daytona, Florida; grandsons, Matthew Martin, and Kaden Jenkins, both of the home in Bristol, Tennessee, and Christopher Goodman of Glade Spring, Virginia; granddaughters, Sommer Martin, Brittney Martin, Autumn Hughes, Lori Goodman, and Tiffany Bowers; special great-granddaughters, Athena Daniel Martin, and Riley Hughes; and great-grandchildren, Maci Tate, Scott Tate, Jr., Holley Goodman, Dominic Romans, Isaac Cross, Hunter Tate, Junior Tate, Noah Tate, and Kelly Settles. Ella was expecting another great grandchhild in July 2021 and her first great great grandson in June 2021.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Ashley, Brittney, Ciara, and Cortney, and all the team at Amedisys Hospice Care for the outstanding care shown to Mrs. Jenkins throughout her illness.
At the request of Ella Jenkins, services will be private. Pastor Shawn Glenn will be officiating. Interment will take place in Mountain Home National Cemetery.
