Emit Marshall Boothe, Jr., age 54, passed on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at his home. Emit was born and raised in Lebanon, VA. He was an employee of AGC Glass Company for many years. Emit loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening, and most importantly, spending time with his granddaughter, Mazzy and his loyal companion, Molly. He is preceded in death by his father, Emit Marshall Boothe, Sr., and brother, Harold Boothe.
Emit leaves behind his wife of 24 years, Pamela Callahan Boothe; two sons, Eric (Valerie) Wilson of Blountville, TN and Justin (Summer) Boothe of Jonesborough, TN; two brothers, Thomas Boothe of Abingdon, VA and Bobby (Suzanne) Boothe of Abingdon, VA; three sisters, Nancy Ashley of Abingdon, VA, Liddia Owens, mother, Juanita Beavers Boothe of Abingdon, VA and special friend Barry Jennings of Meadowview, VA, and Delphia (Ken) Hauser of Elizabethton, TN; four grandchildren, Andrue, Alex, Brooklynn, and special granddaughter, Mazzy; and his loyal companion, Molly.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 1, 2013, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Ken Hauser officiating. Interment will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park with Terry Fugate, Billy Sword, Butch Berry, Larry Snodgrass, Kenny Forrester, and Scott Lawson serving as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be held from 4-7 P.M. Sunday at Farris Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you share your favorite memory of Emit with a note or card.
