Emma Jane Wolfe Taylor, 101, daughter of Dr. Clinton and Susie Wolfe, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at her home in Abingdon.
Born in Coeburn, VA, she lived most of her life in Richmond, VA with her husband Lawrence Taylor. She was President of the Virginia Insurance Payment Plan and Vice President of the Robert L. Taylor Insurance Agency. She was an active member of the Abingdon United Methodist Church and College Community Club at Emory, VA.
She is survived by her son Larry Taylor of Abingdon, who has been a faithful caregiver for years. She will be remembered for the charity given and helping the needy and will be dearly missed by all her friends near and far and her church friends at Abingdon United Methodist Church.
Reverend Clarence Dishman was in charge of the arrangements at a graveside service at Knollkreg Memorial Park on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 4:00 P.M.
Her son Larry Taylor gives special thanks to Carrie Widner and Sylva Arnold, his mother's caregivers for years.
Emma Jane Taylor's husband for 55 years, R. Lawrence Taylor, died in 1981. Her son said she will be dearly missed and will be with God and her husband Lawrence, whom she dearly loved.
