Meadowview, VA- Etta Mae Talbert Wilcox, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August, 13, 2014 at her home. She was born on September 22, 1922 to the late Charles Talbert and Lula Miller Talbert. She faithfully attended Gospel Tabernacle Church as long as her health would allow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Lee Wilcox; and 13 siblings. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Lee Chute and husband David and Linda Lorraine Henley and husband Darrell; two grandchildren, April Lynn Osborne and husband Brian and Kimberly Hope Fuller and husband Carlie; three great grandchildren, Hollie Osborne, Anna Fuller, and Landon Fuller “The Man of the House”; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral ceremony will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor David Robins and the Rev. William Spann officiating. Those wishing attend the committal service are asked to convene at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Saturday to travel in procession. The committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Damascus where Carlie Fuller, Brian Osborne, David Chute, Tommy Wilcox, Scott Evans, and Travis Boardwine will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephew, Glen Talbert, and niece, Lorraine Talbert Russo. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Rose and Jennifer of Chilhowie Hospice Care and Dr. Pote.
