Bristol, VA –Eula Fay Raines Skeens, age 71, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 after a brief illness, surrounded by her loved ones at Clinch Valley Medical Center, Richlands, VA. Eula was a beautician for many years and a plebotimist at Johnston Memorial Hospital for 10 years.
She is preceded in death by grandparents Jason and Martha Raines, and Wiley and Louisa Viers; parents Fred and Lessie Raines; sister, Betty Lou Ramey; and grandson, Christopher Skeens.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Marion Skeens; daughter, Beth Stiltner, and husband Terry; sons, Anthony Skeens and wife Scarlett, and Joshua Skeens and wife Ashley; grandsons, Joey Stiltner and wife Terene, Jason Stiltner and wife Kelli, Jonathan Stiltner, and wife Melissa, and Justin Looney and fiancée Becky Akers; two granddaughters, Sarah Beth Skeens and Sophia Fay Skeens; great grandchildren, Taryn Stiltner, Reid Stiltner, Taylor Stiltner, Abbey Stiltner, Maggie Stiltner, Gunnar Stiltner, Tanner Stiltner, and Clayton Looney; sisters, Joyce Sue Cook, Wanda Gay Sheppard, and Sandra Kay Gibson; brother, Garry Fred Raines; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA. Cryptside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Knollkreg Memorial Park Mausoleum with Pastor Craig Barber officiating. Those wishing to attend the cryptside service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
