Eula Annette Smith

Eula Smith, 92, of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away on June 3rd, 2023 at her home.  She was born in Honaker, Virginia, December 2nd, 1930, to the late John & Eva Starnes.

Eula was preceded in death by her late husband of 57 years Kirby Dillon Smith; her parents John and Eva Starnes of Honaker, Virginia; three sisters Marie Steele, Helen Bartee and Ruth Slate; two brothers Kenneth Starnes and Russell Starnes.

Eula is survived by her children Garry Smith (wife Dalisay) Abingdon, Virginia; Sandy Moore, Abingdon, Virginia; Brenda Hallock (husband Eddy) Houston, Texas; Terry Christian, Abingdon, Virginia; and Bryan Smith (wife Jan) Powhatan, Virginia.

Surviving grandchildren: Seth Smith, Meishach Moore, Jes Moore, Jai Moore, Jeremy Hallock, Benjamin Hallock, Gabriel Hallock, Hannah Hallock Waneck, Lydia Smith, Logan Smith, Kirby Smith.  She also has 18 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Eula’s grandsons.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2023, at Abingdon Baptist Church, 361 W Main St. Abingdon, VA  24210.  We will continue with A CELEBRATION OF EULA’s LIFE at 11:00 a.m., also on Friday at Abingdon Baptist Church. The entombment will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park Mausoleum.
