Faye Anderson

Abingdon, VA- Faye C. Anderson, age 86, passed away on Sunday October 5, 2014 at Grace Healthcare. She was a native of Carter County TN, but had lived in Washington County VA since 1947. She was a member of the Macedonia Church of Christ and attended Woodland Hills Christian Church. Her entire working career was spent in the healthcare industry. She worked at Cedar Lawn (now Grace Healthcare) and retired from Abingdon Manor. In her retirement years, Mrs. Anderson loved to travel…anytime and anywhere. Mrs. Anderson was predeceased by her husband Rolse Anderson; parents James G. and Ethel Pierce Campbell, her son Donald Anderson; five brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her sons Bill Anderson and wife Rita, and Ronald Anderson and his wife Elsie both of Abingdon; daughter Lorrie Anderson and friend Rik Johnson of Abingdon; brother Martin Campbell of Abingdon; grandchildren Stacey Anderson and wife Christa of Arlington, VA and Megan Wampler of Abingdon; great grandchildren Mallory, Madison, Avery and Claire. A funeral service will be conducted at the Farris Funeral Chapel at 8:00 pm on Tuesday October 7, 2014 with Pastor Paul Viers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. An interment committal service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday October 8, 2014 at Knollkreg Memorial Park. Friends wishing to attend the committal service are asked to meet at the cemetery at least 15 minutes prior to the service.
