Faye Harley Worley

Faye Harley Worley, age 89, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2011 at NHC Healthcare after a brief illness. She was a member of Maple Grove Presbyterian Church, a 25 year member of the Bristol Chapter #28, Order of Eastern Star, and a retiree of Raytheon Manufacturing Company. She was the daughter of the late Grant L. Harley and Nellie W. Bottomfield. Mrs. Worley was preceded in death by her husband Joseph M. Worley; a son, Wayne V. Worley, and a brother, Buford "Pap" Harley.

Survivors include her son Garry L. Worley and wife Sue of Bristol, VA; and her seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great, great-granddaughter.

Services for Mrs. Worley will be held Monday, January 10, 2011 at 6:30 pm at the Farris Funeral Chapel, 427 East Main Street, Abingdon, with Pastor Scott Price and Steve Talbert officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday beginning at 4:00 pm until 6:15 pm. Friends are also welcome to call or visit the home of Garry and Sue Worley. Interment services will be conducted Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 11:00 am at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with the Bristol Chapter #28, Order of Eastern Star assisting with the committal service. Pallbearers will be Billy Worley, Greg Worley, Ben Abel, Jason Abel, Michael Abel, Andrew Chambers, Jason Fields, and Josh Fields. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Maple Grove Church and Eastern Star Members.

The Worley family would like to express their utmost gratitude to the NHC Healthcare employees for their superb services and care given to their loved one. The family also requests that memorial contributions in memory of Faye Worley be made to the Bristol Chapter #28, Order of Eastern Star or, NHC Healthcare.
