Fred Dowell Roberts

Abingdon, Va. - Fred Dowell Roberts, Age 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 6, 2021.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Maude Roberts; and his twin brother, Edgar Howell Roberts,
He is survived by his Wife of 56 years, Florence; his Son, Anthony "Tony" Roberts and his wife, Reneé; two grandchildren, Thomas A. Roberts and Maggie Grace Roberts.
Fred was a good husband, father, loving grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast with a heart for helping others and for serving the Lord. We are heartbroken because we miss him so much, but are comforted in knowing that we will see him again one day.
A visitation will be held at the Trigg Street Church of God on Saturday, July 10, 2021, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. The funeral will take place following the visitation at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Steve Vaughn and Pastor Bill Bryan officiating. A cryptside committal service will follow at the Serenity Garden Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
