Frederick Dale Williams, age 69, of Castlewood, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, in the Select Specialty Unit of Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born to the late Harry Williams and Bonnie Kiser Williams on September 14, 1947, in Russell County, Va. He was a graduate of Ervington High School in Nora, Va. and he retired from Clinchfield Railroad (CSX) after 40 years.
In addition to his parents, Freddie was also preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Juanita and Jack Salyers; and sister-in-law, Karen Kaye Mullins.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cassandra “Sandy” Williams; two brothers, Ricky Williams of Providence, R.I. and Donnie Williams McClure, Va.; two sisters, Barbara (James) Runyon of Clintwood, Va. and Thresa “Toot” Williams of Raleigh, N.C.; brother-in-law, Kenneth “Rick” (Sherry) Salyers of Clinchco, Va.; several nieces and nephews; and beloved Papillon, Koko.
According to his wishes Freddie will be cremated with a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Temple Hill Memorial Park.
