Bristol, VA – Fredrick Morgan Dickenson, age 79, passed on Friday, October 4, 2024, in Chuckey, TN, after a long and brave battle with dementia. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend.
Freddy was a former employee of Lowes and was always a hard worker. Fred loved his family, his dogs, and being outside. He was always willing to help others and had the ability to make any situation more fun with his sense of humor, antics, and just being Fred. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ethel Bowers Dickenson; wife, Betty Ann Johnson Dickenson; and infant daughter, Amanda Dickenson.
Freddy is survived by his daughter, Alicia Owens; grandchildren, Chase Owens and Bryce Owens; brother, Richard Dickenson and wife Cindy; special son-in-law, Steve Owens; and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside memorial service will be held in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
