Garry Wayne Jackson, age 67, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Bristol Regional Hospital. He was a native of Abingdon, Va. and he was a 1973 graduate of Abingdon High School. Garry was formerly employed by Abingdon Auto Auction.
He was predeceased by his parents Ray Edward, Sr., and Mary Katherine Carr Jackson; brothers Ray Edward, Jr. and George Daniel Jackson.
Garry is survived by his wife Barbara Jackson of Meadowview, Va.; daughter Tabitha Jackson of Meadowview, Va.; son Norman Ray Maiden and wife Janie of Sevierville, TN; sisters Mary Jane Allan and husband Jeff of Indianola, WA and Phyllis Brown and husband Roger of Richlands, Va.; brothers Curtis Jackson of Abingdon, his twin brother Jerry of Bristol, TN, and David Jackson and wife Lisa of Damascus, Va.; 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Scottie Brown officiating. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery at least 15 minutes prior to the service.
Attendees are encouraged to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
