Gene David "Tooter" Cruey

Gene David “Tooter” Cruey, age 67, passed on Friday, November 3, 2023, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.  Tooter was a former employee of U.S. Gypsum and enjoyed, fishing, NASCAR, and football.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Carolyn Kelly Cruey, and infant brother, Todd Cruey.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Smith Cruey; three sons, Cody, Travis, and Rusty Cruey; and grandchildren, Kipton Reed Cannon and Nolan Travis Cruey.

Friends may visit with the family 12:00-6:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, at Tooter’s home, 32497 Clinchburg Road, Meadowview, VA.
