Geneva Christine Irick

Abingdon, VA – Geneva Christine Irick, age 86, passed on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at English Meadows.  Chris was a graduate of Honaker High School and a retired federal employee who worked for many different federal agencies including the FBI.  She lived over 40 years in the Washington D.C. area before moving to Abingdon in 1999.   

Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Virginia Cook Irick; sister, Peggy Horn; and brother, Howard Irick. She is survived by one sister, Mozelle Hornton of Rosedale, VA, and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA, with Dr. Paul Bufford officiating.  Interment will be private in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Chris’ name.
