Geneva Bartley Redder-McKinney

Abingdon, VA – Geneva Bartley Redder-McKinney, age 73, passed on Monday, February 26, 2024, at her home.  Geneva was a graduate of Garfield Senior High School and an employee of American Petroleum Institute for many years.  She was a member of the Abingdon Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.   Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Ray “C.R.” and Ruby Lyall Bartley; and husband, Jack McKinney, Sr.

She is survived by her children, Brent (Elizabeth) Redder, and Candice (John) Laine; brothers, Benford R. (Becky) Bartley, Tommy L. (Marilyn) Bartley, and Jerry (Sandy) Bartley; grandchildren, Emily N. (Carrie) Ramey, Brooke M. (Casey) Sullivan, and Scott Price; great grandchildren, Ryder and Fiona; and several nieces and nephews.   

Visitation with the family will be held 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bishop Michael Lee Keohane officiating.  A private committal will be held in Knollkreg Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Brent Redder, Stanley Schlegal, Jr., Ron Thayer, Tommy Bartley, Jerry Bartley, and Benford W. Bartley.
