George Arnett

RALEIGH, NC - George Samuel Arnett, 78, died at his home in Raleigh on Friday, August 5, 2016. He was born January 18, 1938 in Meadowview, VA to the late Lelia Scott and James Fletcher Arnett. George proudly served his country in the US Air Force, and was employed for many years as a mill worker with Carolina Components.
George is survived by his son George; sister, Eleanor Blevins of Raleigh, NC; brother, James Oscar Arnett of Wake Forest, NC; and several nieces nephews.In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his sister, Anita McNew, and brother, William Bill Arnett.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 oclock Monday afternoon, August 8, 2016 in Blackwells Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Spence.
