Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend and wife, Geraldine “Jerri” Musick Pippin went to be with the Lord surrounded by her children, Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the VCU-MCV Hospital in Richmond, Va., after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 13, 1948, in Abingdon, Va. and became the daughter of Dora and Conley Osborne. Jerri lived most of her life in the Wallace area, later moving to Abingdon. She attended Friendship Baptist Church in Bristol, Va.
Jerri worked at Wallace Elementary School, when her children were small, then worked for over 25 years and later retired from Bristol Compressors. After retirement, she worked at Cracker Barrel in Abingdon, Va. and Ashland, Va. along with having a small cleaning business.
Left to honor Jerri and remember her love are her husband, Michael Pippin of Abingdon; four children: Paul Anthony Musick (Randy) of High Point, N.C.; Arlene Musick Salyer of Ashland, Va.; Russell Musick (Jenn) of Mechanicsville, Va.; and Chris Musick (Nikki) of Midlothian, Va.; two grandsons, Trevan and Logan, five granddaughters, Regan, Ava, Lucy, Olivia, and Riley; sister, Phyllis Graybeal of Bristol, Va.; and brother, Ralph Woodby of Fairdale, W.Va., along with several nieces and nephews.
Raising her children and enjoying her grandchildren were Jerri’s passion. She loved her friends and would help anyone in any way possible. She had one of the most giving, loving and kind hearts, always thinking of others before herself. She had a green-thumb and loved to work in a vegetable garden or with flowers.
