Glen Bradley Fields, 79, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in Bristol Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Fields was born in Russell County, Virginia and was a graduate of William King High School and retired from the Montgomery County, Maryland Enviromental Protection Agency.
Mr. Fields is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Stella McCracken Fields; his wife, Eleanor Fields; brother-in-law, Fred McVey; sister-in-law, Linda B. Fields; and faithful companion, Robin. Mr. Fields is survived by two sons, Steve Fields and wife, Sue of San Diego, California and Raymond Fields and wife, Janet of Middletown, Maryland; two brothers, Woodrow Fields, Jr. and wife, Janice of Bristol, Va. and Joe D. Fields of Abingdon; two sisters, Mary Fraysier and husband Cardon of Abingdon and Betty F. McVey of Bristol, Va.; four grandchildren, Heather Bryan, Brian Fields, Colin Fields, and Eric Fields; two great-grandchildren, Isabell Bryan and Sophia Bryan; two uncles, John McCracken and wife Janice and Bob McCracken and wife Patty all of Abingdon; two aunts, Pauline Staples of Abingdon and Pansy Whitman of Cleveland, Ohio; close friend, Mildred Henderson; faithful companion, Sandy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210 on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 2-3 p.m. with a private entombment to follow in Serenity Gardens Mausoleum located on the grounds of Forest Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
