Glenna McVey, age 61, passed on Monday, August 26, 2013, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Ray McVey and Lucy Virginia Reynolds McVey; brother, Donald "Yogi" McVey.
She is survived by her beloved companion, Ted McThenia; sister, Brenda (James) Haynes of Port Orange, FL; brother, Kenneth (Shirley) McVey of Abingdon, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Brother Brandon Canter officiating. Pallbearers will be Dennis Neal, Jessee McVey, Brandon McVey, Kevin McVey, Rick Harless, and Gregory McVey. Those wishing to travel in procession to the cemetery are asked to meet at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service before 1:30 p.m. Friday.
Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guest register.
