Glenna Barnousky, age 91, beloved mother and friend, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the home of her eldest daughter with family at her bedside.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph John Barnousky; parents, the Reverend A. R. Baumgardner and Mary Gussie Baumgardner; sister, Frances Florine Jones; and brothers, Morris Baumgardner and John Baumgardner.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda Barnes (Larry) of Ocean Springs, MS, Lissa Sadler (Raleigh) of Cocoa, FL, John Barnousky of Morristown, TN, Sharon Reynolds (Micheal) of Marion, VA, and Robin Goddard (Tony) of London, England; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
"Mrs. B" as she was lovingly called by friends and co-workers and "Maw B" to her beloved sons-in-law, was a career Certified Nurse Anesthetist Practitioner having graduated from Memphis TN Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and Norwegian American School of Anesthesia in Chicago, IL. During her career she was highly revered and well-known in her profession.
Mrs. Barnousky loved to travel, visiting numerous states and countries. She was also an avid reader. She attended East Bristol Baptist Church until going to live with her daughter in early 2012 at the age of 90. During the last year of her life she thoroughly enjoyed attending her great-grandchildren's soccer and softball games and school activities. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol, TN alongside her husband, Joseph, and her parents. Officiating at her services will be her grandson, the Reverend Raleigh Sadler; nephew, the Reverend Richard Baumgardner; and the Reverend Dan Birchfield of East Bristol Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joseph Barnes, Michael Barnes, and Barryck Barnousky; nephews, Fred Jones and Eric Naff; and nephew-in-law, Brady White. Great grandson, Owen Barnes, will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
