Gloria G. Griffith, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN. She was born in Washington County, Virginia to the late Akers Henry Roark and Myrtle Haga Roark on September 14, 1945. Gloria loved spending time with her family and friends and playing video games.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Carroll Eugene Roark and James David Roark and sisters, Velma Applegate, Vivian Scott, Reba Roark and Mary Rose Roark.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, James “Gene” Griffith two daughters, Shannon Dixon and Dawn Altizer (Otto); three grandchildren, Samantha Mann, Brandon Ball and Wendy Crampton; eleven great grandchildren and her sisters, Ruth Singleton (Jim), Barbara Frazier (Joe); three special nephews, Doug Adams, Gary Adams and Jeff Adams; and two special nieces, Marlene (Margie) Cuggy and Linda Chico.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Farris Funeral Service Main Street Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 3:00 PM in the Farris Funeral Service Main Street Chapel with Pastor David Robins officiating. The burial will take place at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
The pallbearers will be Dalton Arnold, Dillion Proulex, Brandon Ball, Jimmy Mann, Adam Mann, Otto Brown and Landin Earls.
