Gloria Striker, age 61, of Bristol, Va., passed away suddenly, on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, in her home. She was a holistic healer and established her own business, Healing Waters Day Spa, over 20 years ago to support her community with healthy living and spiritual care. Gloria was a registered nurse, and her caring attitude was noted by all she met. She was a talented musician who graced her friends and family with her guitar performance, piano playing, and singing abilities. Gloria lived life to its fullest, always excited to boldly embark upon the next adventure with her courageous personality. Her two fur-babies, Samantha and Tony, were the light of her life and they were truly like children.
She is preceded in death by her father, Anthony “Tony” Roman; her first husband and true love, James “Jim” Lee Buckner, II; and her beloved and treasured feline companion, Susie.
She is survived by her mother, Norma “Striker” Ramos; her aunt, Carmen Roman; three brothers, Danny Shearcraft, Michael Shearcraft, and Tony Roman; two sisters, Debra Dobles and Marisa Roman-Bisht; her nephew and godson, David Shearcraft; her three nieces, Amanda Troisi, Sara Timpson, and Kelly Corrente; her great nephews, David Jr. and Danny Shearcraft; many aunts and uncles; several cousins; and more friends than a person could possibly count.
