Grace McCray Facello

Wilmington, NC - Grace Elizabeth Swetnam Facello, 77, formerly of Roderfield, WV, passed away on May 11, 2015 after suffering from Alzeheimer’s Disease for several years. Grace was born in Roderfield, WV the daughter of the late Herbert and Edith Akers Swetnam. She is survived by her husband Bill (Sarge) Facello; her four stepchildren, Dee Menzer of Oklahoma, Mike Facello and wife Lesley of Clayton, NC, Debbie Coffee and husband Brian of Virginia Beach, VA, and Chris Facello and wife Leigh Anne of Charleston, SC; nine step grandchildren, Samantha and Auriel Johnson, Sean and Michaela Facello, Dalton, Darci, and Demi Menzer, and Caitlin and Madison Facello; her sister, Carol Jensen and husband Lynn; two brothers, Fred Swetnam and wife Bess, and Charles Robert Swetnam and wife Teressa; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition she leaves behind Tracy Spatenga, her godchild who she considered to be her only child and was the love of her life. She is also survived by three step children from her first marriage, Pam Lail, Paula Thompson, and Brenda McGlockin, all from Abingdon, VA. On Saturday, May 16, 2015, there will be a visitation time from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service followed by a graveside service at Knollkreg Memorial Park where Grace will be laid to rest beside her late husband Charles McCray. Honorary pallbearers will be Brendan Keenan, John Pletz, John Hobbs, Charles Robert “Bobby” Swetnam, Fred Swetnam, David Williams, and Jerry Dowling.
