Grover Cleveland Hutchinson, Jr.

Mr. Grover Cleveland Hutchinson, Jr., age 80, passed away January 28, 2018 in Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Hutchinson was born December 23, 1937 in Johnson County, TN. to the late Grover Cleveland Hutchinson, Sr. and the late, Helena Hutchinson. He was a United States Navy Veteran and retired from Moore’s Potato Chip Company and was a member of First Assembly of God of Bristol, VA. Mr. Hutchinson loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed his dogs.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Diana Jan King.

Mr. Hutchinson is survived by his wife of sixty years, Margaret Shuttle Hutchinson; two sons, George Hutchinson and wife, Teresa of Johnson City, TN. and Tony Hutchinson of Bristol, VA.; one daughter, Tammy Hutchinson-Harosky and husband, Chris of Bristol, VA.; one brother, Dan Hutchinson and wife, Nina of Littleton, N.C.; grandchildren; Kori Hutchinson, Hannah Harosky, Haley Harosky, and Tyler Hutchinson; and special friends, Laverne “Dick” Jones and G.C. Stuckey.

The funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Jeff Carico officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until time of service. The committal service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in the Colonial Chapel Mausoleum on the Grounds of Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
