Guy Henry Lester

Guy Henry Lester, age 73, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013 at his home. He was born to the late Tivis Lester and Frances Meade Lester on August 29, 1940 in Drill, VA and lived most of his life in Russell County, VA before moving to Abingdon 12 years ago. Guy was a coal miner for 38 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Kirby Lester.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lola Johnson Lester; daughter, Teanice Lester of Abingdon, VA; sisters, Darlene Howard of Honaker, VA; Charlene Meadows of SC; and Diane Linowski of PA; eight brothers, Ray Lester, Stevie Lester, and James Lester of Honaker, VA; Raymond Lester and Doug Lester of Drill, VA; Kermit Lester of NC; Doyle Lester of Bellfast, VA; and Andy Lester of Abingdon, VA; two grandsons, Zachary Lester and Channing Hubard.
