Gwinda Sue Stacy Mullins, age 72, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Born on July 11, 1945, she was the first child of the late Walter and Sarah Kennedy Stacy, formally of Whitewood, VA.
Gwinda held various jobs throughout Virginia to include Farrington Electronics – Springfield, VA, her longest tenure at Southland Corp. the parent company of 7-11, and retired as the dining room supervisor from the Officers Club at Ft. Belvoir, VA. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Gwinda was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Mullins, and sister, Linda June Stacy.
She is survived by her children, William Mullins and wife Danetta of Abingdon, VA, Walter Brian Mullins and wife JoAnna of Alexandria, VA, and Beverly Lynn Burcham and husband Danny of Bumpass, VA. She was blessed with nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Gwinda is also survived by two sisters, Lois Ann Mitchem of Florida and Donna Gay Kramb of South Carolina, and brother, Danny Ray Stacy of Gordonsville, VA.
Visitation with the family will be held 5-7 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2018, in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24211. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday with Evangelist Hobert Kennedy officiating. Entombent will follow in the Forest Hills Memory Gardens Colonial Chapel Mausoleum.
