Gwyn is survived by numerous cousins, five nephews: Bill David Andrews, Bob Andrews, Gordon Andrews, Forest Andrews (all in NJ) and Barney Siegel (in AL); and her special dog, "Margie-Babies".

Gwyn was a quiet, well behaved young girl who loved her parents, her brother and her cousins who were frequent visitors. She enjoyed playing with her cousins, sleeping over in back yard tents, Christmas caroling. playing cards and dancing. She grew up in Staunton, Virginia and also in Roanoke near her fraternal grandparents: William Luther Andrews and Mary John Andrews and her maternal grandparents: Forest Emory Moore (Pops) and Mary Alice Martin Moore (Grans). She was an excellent student in school and attended Andrew Lewis HS in Salem. She also spent one summer residence in Dayton, Virginia at the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music studying piano.

In addition to her musical talents, Gwyn was a renowned artist throughout her family with her drawings, picture tinting, and paintings. She
graduated from the College of William and Mary with a degree in History. Upon graduation, she taught in the public school system first in the Roanoke Valley and later in Marion. Later in life, she also became certified as a dental assistant and occasionally worked along with her husband in his dental practice.

Gwyn was independent and quiet but fun to be around. She was described as cute. Her blond hair, good complexion and her simple, but pretty clothing made her an attractive young woman. She and her husband Ernie were a handsome couple.

Gwyn loved her children and in addition to raising children, and teaching school, she frequently worked at the Smyth County Community Hospital as a pink lady. She and Ernie were members of the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church in Marion, Virginia.

After Ernie's retirement from dentistry, Gwyn and Ernie moved first to Moneta, Virginia and then later to Abingdon, Virginia. After the death of Ernie on November 8, 2002, Gwyn moved to San Antonio, TX where she lived until her death.
