Bristol, VA- Hazel Hall Baltimore, of Bristol VA, died Sunday, July 6, 2014. Prior to moving to Bristol in 1986 she was a resident of Saltville, VA and was a native of Altavista, VA. Mrs. Baltimore was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles L. Baltimore, Sr. formerly of Saltville, VA. She was the last survivor of her six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Charles L. Baltimore, Jr. and daughter-in-law Jean of Richmond, VA; three daughters: Lisa Baltimore and son-in-law Dan Puryear of Richmond, VA; Lynn Blue and son-in-law Stuart of Topsail Beach, NC; and Tracy Tidwell and son-in-law Nelson of Bristol, TN; six grandchildren, Cynthia Baltimore Moore, Sarah Baltimore McElwain, Margaret Varney Nalls, Ellen Tidwell Smith, Jackson Hall Tidwell, and Kristian Haley Duke; five great grandchildren, Mallorie Moore, Charles and Thomas McElwain, Zoey Blair Julia, and Lily Smith; and her loving caregiver, Sue Edwards. Mrs. Baltimore was a member of the Saltville Baptist Church and a graduate of Averett University in Danville, VA. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Mt. Rose Cemetery. The family of Hazel Baltimore would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Wellmont Hospice House.
