Helen Bernice VanHoose

Abingdon, VA- Helen Bernice Casey VanHoose, age 73, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Trigg Street Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby VanHoose. Helen is survived by her son, David VanHoose of Abingdon, VA; two daughters, Linda Herndon of NC and Tammy Thomas and husband Billy of Damascus, VA; four brothers, Gin Casey, Stuart Casey, Dean Casey, and Marvin Casey; sister, Cleo Pierce; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home following the visitation with Pastor Tim Norris officiating. Interment will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Flowers will be accepted.
