Helen Marie Hancock Smith

Helen Marie Hancock Smith, age 88, passed on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at her home with her daughters by her side.  Helen was a homemaker, farmer’s wife, and a wonderful cook.  She loved animals, watching the birds, the beauty of her flowers, and playing the piano.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Blair and Hazel Hancock; husband of 63 years, Russell Thomas “Tommy” Smith, Jr.; and sister, Margaret Hale.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra Lynn “Debbie” Smith, and Karen Leah Smith; sisters, Shirley Wagner and Nancy Childress; kitty companion, Willow; and special friends, Sue, Roy, and Teresa Foglesong.

A private service was held in Knollkreg Memorial Park.
