Hubert Sells

Hubert Sells, age 89, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 6, 1926, in West Virginia to the late Roby Sells and Lucy Jane Hash Sells. Hubert was a Navy Veteran of World War II and was retired from Bristol Metals. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Hubert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia Venable Sells; son, Roger Lee Sells; and 11 siblings.
He is survived by a son, Hubert Wayne Sells and his wife, Dixie Morrison Sells; step-grandson, Wayne Morrison and wife, Rose Cox Morrison, all of Meadowview, Va.; and two sisters-in-law, Marion Price of Bristol, Tenn. and Edna Sells of Abingdon, Va.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. A private interment will occur at Rust Hollow Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Dawson and Amanda of Johnston Memorial Hospital ER and the nurses and staff of Valley Health Care Center.
