Hugh Earl Black

Hugh Earl Black passed away at his home on Monday, May 29, 2023, in Glade Spring, Virginia. Earl had been battling illness for several months before departing this earth to be reunited with awaiting loved ones. His family finds great comfort in the knowledge that he is free from pain and now resides in the eternal peace that his faith ensures. Earl was born on Feb. 12, 1948, in Norfolk Virginia.

Earl is survived by his loving wife, Judy Woodward Black; 5 Children: Tracy Beasley, Michael Black, Christina Lilly, Ruth Ann Alexander and Rennee Byford. His love and legacy will live on through his 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and those yet to come. He is also survived by his brother and sister, Richard Black and Debbie Wood.  Earl was preceded in death by parents, Hugh E. Black and Betty Jean Teachworth.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 3^rd, 2:00 pm at the Chilhowie Church of God, 1308 W Lee Highway, Chilhowie, Virginia. A reception will follow.
