Ina Merle Sutherland Fletcher, age 87, passed on Friday, December 13, 2013, at Health South Rehabilitation Center in Kingsport, TN. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Sutherland and Alicy Bertie Fuller Sutherland; her husband, Eugene J. Fletcher; and two brothers, Maynard and Clayton Sutherland.
She is survived by her son, Vaughn (Teresa) Fletcher of Abingdon, VA; brothers, Glen (Audrie) Sutherland, Adron (Ann Gail) Sutherland, and Gale (Mae) Sutherland, all of Ohio, and Omar (Mavis) Sutherland; sisters, Nina (Everett) Rice of Newport News, VA, Carol (Victor) Breeding of Buchanan County, VA, and Lenas (Beldon) Thomas of Blountville, TN; grandchildren, Ashley Fletcher, Dylan Roark, and Dustin Roark.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Elder Don Stacey, Elder Joel Turner, and Rev. Joanne Sandoe officiating. David Cline, Tony Cox, Daryl Holman, Gene Adams, Gary Fletcher, Buford Doss, and Chadwick Fletcher will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be held 1-2 p.m. just prior to the service at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
