Irene Sailor Anderson

Irene Sailor Anderson, age 82, passed on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Bristol Health and Rehab Center.  Irene was a graduate of Abingdon High School and was an employee of many of the sewing factories in the area over the years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave Preston Sailor and Phelby Ellen Shaw Sailor; and three brothers, David “Buddy” Sailor, Raymond Sailor, and Charles Sailor.

She is survived by four daughters, Tangy Litton, Robin Swain, Crystal Hall, and Penny Cook; brothers, Bobby, Jackie, Ricky, and Michael Sailor; sisters, Elizabeth Farmer and Joyce Hicks; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Forest Hills Chapel with Rev. David Robins officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
